Family Cruise 2008

We finally went on the long awaited cruise. It was wonderful. The ship sailed to Cozumel and the Grand Cayman Islands. It was just long enough being 5 days. I definitely recommend this as a family vacation. I didn't get annoyed with any of my beloved family members :-)

We had a perfect room with a balcony. It was great for the long naps that Evelyn took. She was really great on the trip. Exceeded our expectations. Dan and I felt she grew up so much in that week. She started reaching for people. Flirting. And eating real food. Her favorite was pasta. Yum.

Happy Halloween

Evelyn had her first Halloween. She dressed up as a dragonfly. She was very interested when Daddy was cleaning out the pumpkin and getting ready to carve it. When he started to cut, she got VERY upset. I guess she didn't like to see her new orange friend get cut. It was cute. She had fun handing out candy to the neighborhood kids.

She is 6 months old now. I cannot believe how fast time flies. She is eating solid foods twice a day and is even starting to feed herself. We don't have any teeth yet, but we are sure she is moments away. She even has quite an independant attitude. I didn't know a 6mo old could through a tantrum, but they can! If she decides she wants something, she better get it or she gets mad. I wonder who she got that from???

We are getting ready to go on our big vacations next week (a cruise) so look forward to another update in a couple of weeks.

BYOB Yoga

Evelyn and I have been spending our Sat mornings at Bring Your Own Baby (BYOB) yoga. It is so much fun. I am getting a fabulous and fun workout and so is Evi. She is wiped after class. She loves being around all the other babies her age. To my mommy friends...I highly recommend :-)

Grandma's Visit

We had a fabulous visit with two Grandmas. Evelyn got to see her Nani and meet her great-grandma Lorrayne for the very first time. Evi was smothered with love.

New Blogspot

We switched our family website to Blogger because we ran out of space on Totsites. This blog will be way cooler. We can add and share more stuff. This is a great place to record Evelyns awesome existence.

Evelyn Eats Rice Cereal

We finally introduced Evelyn to solid food. We were given the green light a month ago, but felt no rush. But then we could just tell Evelyn was ready to eat. Wow was it amazing. She opened her mouth for the first bite, and second and third. She looked very confused (see photos). She was done by the third bite. Day two on rice cereal was better. She ate about a tablespoon. But day three...well she ate and ate and when it was gone she wanted more. We cannot believe how far we have come and how fast it goes by. She truly changes every day before our eyes.
